What is Utabox?
Utabox turns a sentence, your own lyrics, or a photo and its story into a song you can listen to, change part by part, and share.
How do I make my first song?
Choose Describe, Lyrics or Photo & story, write a little, and press Create. You can pick up to 3 styles, a voice and the song language, or leave them on Auto. It takes about one to two minutes.
Why do I get two takes?
Every generation makes two versions, Take A and Take B, from the same idea. Music rarely lands perfectly the first time, so you choose — and keep shaping the one you like.
Do I need an account?
You can listen to shared songs without one, and make your first song as a guest. To save, download or share your own songs, sign in with Google, Apple or email.
Credits & plans
What are credits?
Credits are what making music costs. Creating a song uses 2 credits and gives you two takes. Changing one part uses 1 credit. Chatting with the agent is free — you always see the cost before anything is generated.
How many credits do I get?
Free gives you [N] credits a day, reset daily. Pro and Premier give you [N] credits a month. When you run out, we show how many you have left and when they come back.
Do I lose credits if a song fails?
No. If a generation fails, the credits go straight back to your balance and you can try again.
What is the difference between Free, Pro and Premier?
Free: [N] credits a day, standard model, limited MP3 downloads, lyric videos with a watermark, personal use only. Pro: more credits, advanced model, MP3 + WAV, basic stems (vocals / instrumental), commercial use, no watermark. Premier: everything in Pro plus lossless files, full multi-track stems, music videos (preview), your own voice (coming soon) and a priority queue.

What can I download?

Can I use my songs commercially?
Yes, if you made them while on Pro or Premier — in videos, ads, streams, podcasts or your business. Songs made on Free are for personal use only. [Terms to be confirmed]
What happens to my rights if I cancel?
Songs you made while subscribed keep their commercial use after you cancel, and files you already downloaded stay yours to use. New songs made on Free are personal use. [Terms to be confirmed]
Do I have to say the song was made with AI?
Shared song pages and lyric videos carry a small “Made with AI on Utabox” label. Where you publish elsewhere, follow that platform’s rules on AI disclosure. [Terms to be confirmed]
Editing & the agent
Can I change just one part of a song?
Yes. Under the player, the song structure bar shows each part — intro, verses, chorus, bridge. Tap one to regenerate it, edit its lyrics and re-sing it, extend after it, or remove it. The rest stays as it was.
What does “Shape it together” do?
It is a chat with an agent that edits the song for you. Ask in your own words, like “make the chorus bigger”. Every change shows a card such as “Chorus regenerated · Take A → A2” and highlights that part on the structure bar. You can take over by hand at any time.
Can I edit the lyrics after the song is made?
Yes. Edit any line, then press Apply & re-sing. Only the parts with changed lines are sung again.
Can I make it longer or in another style?
Yes. Extend adds more to the end, Cover in another style keeps the song and changes the arrangement, and Trim & fade shortens it.
Languages
Which languages can songs be sung in?
Auto, English, 日本語, Español, Deutsch, Français, 한국어, Português and more. We are still testing how naturally each language is sung, so some may sound better than others for now.
Is the song language the same as the app language?
No, they are separate settings. You can read Utabox in Japanese and make a song in Spanish, or the other way round.
Which languages is the app available in?
English, 日本語, Español, Deutsch and Français. 한국어 and Português (BR) are planned.
Privacy & safety
What happens to the photo I upload?
It is only used to understand what is in the picture so the song can draw on it. It is never shown on your song page or made public. [Retention period to be confirmed]
Can it sing in my own voice?
Not yet. Your own voice — coming soon. We do not offer cloning of any real person’s voice.
How are songs labelled as AI-made?
Public song pages and lyric videos show “Made with AI on Utabox”, so listeners know how the song was made.
How do I report a song or ask for it to be taken down?
Use Report on the song’s share page, or email [SUPPORT EMAIL] with the link and the reason. We review every report and may hide the song while we check. [Review timeframe to be confirmed]
Billing & refunds
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes, from Settings. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for. [Terms to be confirmed]
Is there a yearly plan?
Yes. Paying yearly saves about 20% compared with monthly.
